چکیده
Medicine has traditionally focused onspecialty and subspecialty expertise, whichsubsequently leads to fragmentation, inefficien-cies, and lack of accountability. From this focuscame a new idea: The Institute. The Institutehas transformed our culture, fundamentallyaffecting the way we approach patient careand how we foster accountability rather thanblame. It focuses on system failures rather thanon individual ones, which ultimately drives usto act. The result is a peer-review process builton strong interdisciplinary relationships.
